It looks like Microsoft can afford the lead time with an upgraded console. So if in fact these rumors are true then Sony is going to be going hard with selling VR and Neo after E3 2016. The difference between the Xbox One and PS4 have not been substantial enough to warrant gamers to say there is a true power difference. Only in Specs, not really in performance. So Scorpio is going to be an interesting console with 6 Tflops...
To be honest Windows 10 is the secret sauce sin...
I don't like the idea of a console upgrade at all. Can you imagine those who just purchased the Xbox One or PS4 this past fall/winter? So now they are going to have to deal with less, while others get more so quickly? Without a doubt you are going to lose people. Especially for a game console. As much as people want to compare it to other devices in the electronics sector you have to pay attention to who your relevant consumer is. I don't know if upgradable consoles are relevant to th...
Sad how people don't even read past the headlines. I try to have faith that the statistics are wrong on this, but clearly when you read peoples comments. It's a sad state of affairs online. There is tons of information about the tech that has gone into cloud gaming. So just sounding like a moron with "my internetz is too slow here" is getting old.
Clearly in READING the article, and doing other research Azure cloud just needs developers to take advantage ...
Yeah you guys are right. I think more than anything what Uncharted 4 shows is that there's more work to be done with software techniques, and pushing the current consoles. Allow me without comparison to say we saw the same push with Quantum Break for the Xbox One.
I'm also curious to see how Gears of War's single/co-op game will look like as it's going to be pushing the the Xbox One with Unreal Engine 4...
If VR were well established I think you may be right. Except VR over the next couple years is going to go down in hardware price for PC gamers. With NVIDIA Pascal GPUs you are talking about a significant leap in all ready gaming coming literally in two weeks. Which means, if you are an early adopter with the gaining popularity of PC gaming today. Then VR although a bit pricey is going to be your best bet on a PC.
With that said, Uncharted 4 clearly shows that software advan...
My comment has nothing to do with Xbox One vs PS4. Simply making sure no one forgets that Mass Effect Andromeda is on the way. Not even close to taking anything away from Uncharted 4. It's a benchmark for a new generation so far.
Using the Frostbite Engine, which happens to be responsible for some really gorgeous games. Bioware is really customizing the engine to suite what they want to achieve with Mass Effect Andromeda. It obviously will be a much larger game compare...
That is a very interesting perspective. If early reports are true that Sony want's developers to make sure that feature rich Neo titles don't eclipse the current PS4 then they are indeed holding up the progress of new hardware. Sony is in a no win situation though. How do you release VR and take full advantage of it's unique platform without the power truly needed in the current PS4? Neo as an upgrade console has to make sense for the company on many levels, and even more acceptab...
Ok, I'll bite on your ill logic. You want to play an old game that you can purchase at a bargin bin for a last generation console in a remaster, on a new console, in a NEW GENERATION... Got it... You are also upset, wait, uninterested in a BRAND NEW GAME in an ongoing franchise for an entirely new generation. Got it...Eh, nope, sorry still doesn't make sense to me.
Since it's your favorite then go play the one that already exists. Wait, Activision spared you, an...
Smart. It's a great game, but not a 10 like we have been seeing. It's also smart that they are waiting till after the game releases to send out a full review. Don't want to mess up that 94 metacritic, and blow the internet up.
Lucy was fair and honest. I don't reviews, but I respect people's experiences with games. Her was hers.
I'm flabbergasted. You have people begging to purchase a game they already owned before mad at a company for making a new entry in a franchise. What has the world come to? Hell no! Activision is doing the right thing. Why in the world would I want to buy a remaster? Is Soap going to duck and roll into a tank rather than land on the ground? Like seriously, Wtf is there something new in the game we don't know and didn't play? A change in the story? New characters? You have got to be...
Yeah, I don't get it either. Infinite War looks fantastic. I played, and still play Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360. The storyline was fantastic, and online was great too. I think way too many people are nostalgic just for the sake of being so. At this point Call Of Duty is in the land of Tom Clancy. Each game they release yearly is a self contained novel. Creating a fictional war with its own feel and tone.
WW2 was so over done. From COD to Medal of Honor. I'm reall...
Look I get you guys love to focus in on RROD, and skim over YLOD for the PS3. Stop it. You do not have any accurate figures for either hardware issues. YLOD was enough to have people actually have an issue along with others that the PS3 had. The PS3 was an inferior console compared to the Xbox 360. It had some features that kept it formidable, and in some respects did things that the Xbox 360 couldn't. Overall both consoles evened out. The Xbox 360 had a better and more powerful gpu. So o...
Actually, not to be even funny. Sony has done that for the past three E3's, but add in third party 1 year exclusive paid for PS4 content. Microsoft's conferences have been more gaming focused, exclusives, tech upgrades, etc. You need some links to Sony E3 presentations? I got some ready for your research...
Laughable post. The PS3 was a good console, but let's not get carried away with revisionist history here. Unlike resolution gate between the Xbox One and PS4. The PS3 had serious issues with third party titles, never had chat for online play, unstable online infrastructure that caused gamers to lose entire accounts do to not having good online security, inconsistent firmware updates that would brick the console at times, and other weird things that made game development on the platform a ...
